History of the Moroccan Society of Bioinformatics (SMBI)
The Moroccan Society of Bioinformatics SMBI has been established on February 10th, 2006. This association is regulated by the law issued on July 1st, 1901 and the August 6th, 1901 decree.
It was established to promote research, multidisciplinary teaching and the organisation in Bioinformatics.
The association “the Moroccan Society of Bioinformatics” has been established in the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Tangier in Morocco.
Categories of the association members:
-Active member : Active member is attributed to researchers, informatics researcher-professors, mathematicians, physicians, biochemists, chemists and biologists research or teaching practicing in relation to Bioinformatics.
-Honour member : Honour member is attributed by the board of directors to any real or moral person having or may contribute to the service of the association.
-Associated member : May be attributed by the board of directors to ant person, not filling the conditions of active member.
