Moroccan Environmental Sustainability Initiative

The Moroccan Environmental Sustainability Initiative will provide students, business managers, and government representatives from different cultures and fields of study the opportunity to work in teams and use the knowledge and experience to evaluate, plan, implement, monitor and measure, a sustainable development plan. This plan can be used to create a Moroccan and possibility a North African Mediterranean Environmental Sustainability Development model. Government officials will learn how to incorporate environmental sustainability best practices into community economic development efforts. Business owners better understand how to use environmental sustainability planning in operations, and students gain the knowledge needed to work and contribute in a global sustainable development.
Summer School Objectives
Provide knowledge to participants on the impact of international management system standards in regard to the Mediterranean economy, environment and society in order to create a sustainable development.
Expose participants to Morocco 's responsibilities in Mediterranean sustainability efforts
Establish a network of students, community leaders, and other professionals located in Morocco and different countries to work together in using environmental sustainability practices in economic development efforts.
Create a Moroccan Mediterranean Sustainability Action Plan in conjunction with the UNEP Mediterranean Environmental Sustainability Initiative.
Registration:
40 participants will be accepted in this summer school. Participants will be selected by a committee for their project or idea or impact in the Environmental sustainable development in Morocco . Prices for the 3 best projects will be allocated.
